What is “the work of the Lord”? It’s God asking us to be part of something that He had planned a long time ago for us to do – things that will help others know and learn about who God is and what Jesus did for us on the cross.

“주님의 일”이란 무엇일까요? 그것은 하나님께서 오래 전에 계획하신 일로, 우리가 다른 사람들이 하나님이 누구신지, 그리고 예수님이 십자가에서 우리를 위해 무엇을 하셨는지 알 수 있도록 돕는 일을 말해요. 하나님은 우리가 이 중요한 일에 참여하도록 부르고 계세요.

God has a plan for you!

하나님은 당신을 위한 계획을 가지고 계십니다!

God was watching over and cared greatly for the Israelites, even when they complained. We can see how powerful and grace-filled our God is!   

하나님은 이스라엘 백성들이 불평할 때에도 그들을 지켜보시고 크게 돌보셨어요. 우리 하나님이 얼마나 강력하고 은혜로 가득하신 분인지 알 수 있습니다!

God provides manna and quail for the  Israelites.

이스라엘 백성들이 하나님을 신뢰하며 물을 구하다

It is a personal choice to surrender and trust the most incredible loving God with our lives. 

If you have made the decision to make Jesus the leader of your life, it means you should trust God at home, at school, on good days, and on bad days! 

우리의 삶을 하나님께 맡기고 신뢰하는 건 개인의 선택이에요. 만약 여러분이 예수님을 여러분의 삶의 주인으로 모시기로 했다면, 집에서나 학교에서나, 좋은 날에도, 힘든 날에도 하나님을 신뢰해야 해요!

You gotta trust God! Today’s exercise will test that trust.

나님을 신뢰합시다! 오늘은 신뢰를 한 번 테스트 해 볼께요.

God usually speaks to us today through the Bible. The question is, do you listen to and obey the one and only holy God?

The Israelites, even though they are God’s chosen people, always seem to make some pretty big mistakes, don’t they? That’s why they needed God; He is the only One who could care for them and save them from their sin. Do you know who is a lot like the Israelites? (We are!) 

이스라엘 백성은 하나님의 선민임에도 불구하고 항상 큰 실수를 저지르곤 하지 않나요? 그래서 그들은 하나님이 필요했고, 하나님은 그들을 돌보시고 그들의 죄에서 구원하실 수 있는 유일한 분이셨어요. 누가 이스라엘 백성과 많이 닮았는지 아세요? (바로 우리입니다!)

이스라엘 백성이 성막을 세웁니다.

When you joyfully serve God, it is amazing what can happen. God allowed the Israelites to serve Him, and they did their best work with their whole hearts. 

여러분이 기쁜 마음으로 하나님을 섬길 때, 놀라운 일들이 일어날 수 있어요. 하나님은 이스라엘 백성에게 하나님을 섬길 기회를 주셨고, 그들은 온 마음을 다해 최선을 다했어요.

The Israelites built the tabernacle, let’s build a tent!

이스라엘 백성들은 장막을 지었습니다. 우리도 장막을 지어 보겠습니다.

정탐꾼들이 가나안을 정탐하다.

What about you? Do you do things God’s way or your way? When you become a Christian, you begin to change. The Holy Spirit lives inside of you, and you get to know Jesus better by reading the Bible and talking with Him.

여러분은 어떻나요? 하나님 방식대로 하나요, 아니면 자신의 방식대로 하나요? 우리가 그리스도인이 되면 변화가 시작됩니다. 성령님이 우리 안에 거하시고, 우리는 성경을 읽고 기도하면서 예수님을 더 잘 알게 됩니다.

Let’s stay focused on God’s vision

Hebrews 13:17a says, “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority.” Are you obedient or disobedient to the leaders in your life? When someone respects their leader, how do they act, what do they say, what is their attitude? 

히브리서 13장 17절에 “너희 지도자들에게 순종하고 그들의 권위에 복종하라”는 말씀이 있습니다. 여러분의 삶에서 리더에게 순종하고 있나요, 아니면 불순종하고 있나요? 리더를 존중하는 사람은 어떻게 행동하고, 어떤 말을 하고, 어떤 태도를 취하나요?

Something that happened way back in the Old Testament was a clue about Jesus coming to save us from our sin many years later. The whole Bible connects together!     

구약성경에서 오래전에 일어난 사건은 예수님이 수년 후에 우리를 죄에서 구원하러 오실 것이라는 단서가 되었어요. 성경 전체가 서로 연결되어 있습니다!

The Israelites never wanted anyone to forget how powerful their God was on this day. They wanted to serve and follow their great God the rest of their lives.

What a journey the Israelites took to get to the Promised Land! From Joseph to Moses to Joshua, God had a perfect plan. Why do you think God put these events in the Bible? What did you learn from it?
